FAQs
What is a reverse osmosis system?

This system consists of several filters/membranes/resin to achieve 000TDS (total dissolved solids)

Why can’t we use tap water to clean my windows?
Tap water has a lot of impurities in the water. While it is okay to drink, it is no good to clean windows due to these impurities.

Tap water TDS reading range is from around 200-300TDS in the Sussex area so just cleaning with tap water would result in a milky residue and smears left on your windows from the impurities in the water.

Our reverse osmosis system takes all the impurities out of the water to give a reading of 000TDS before it reaches your windows, leaving your windows spot free once they dry.

What process will you use to clean my windows?

We use a water fed pole that can be extended to reach your windows all from the safety of the ground without the use of ladders.

Ladders may be used in some cases, where it’s not practical to extend the pole. For example, if you have an extension which is safe to walk on without any damage to your property, with your permission we can stand on the roof and clean your upstairs windows that way.

We will agitate the dirt with our dedicated brushes, starting with the frames first, then agitating the glass. Next, we clean the glass, finishing with a final good rinse to clear any residual dirt that may be left on the glass. After cleaning the glass, the sills are scrubbed. To finish, we will use a cloth to wipe dry the downstairs sills.

Why are my windows left wet and not dried afterwards?
As we use pure water, where all the impurities have been filtered out, the windows can be left wet and left to dry naturally, leaving a spot free finish as we have cleaned and rinsed all the dirt away.

Can you clean leaded windows?

Yes we can! We invest in specific brushes for specific types of windows - we use a brush with softer bristles on leaded windows to give a gentle clean especially on older style original leaded windows.

Can you clean my windows in the rain?
Yes we can!

Rain water is pure also so once it has stopped raining, and the windows have dried, they will still be spot free.

We offer a 100% customer satisfaction guarantee meaning if your not completely satisfied with the way they have dried after a rainy day please contact us within 24 hours so we can come back to rectify and reclean those window(s).

We will only work in light/medium rain so if it’s raining hard outside we will likely be at home in the dry although there are showery days where we can get caught in heavy downpours. If this is the case we may still carry on and from past experiences our customers have said the windows have still dried spot free and were satisfied with the clean still.
Living in England the weather can be so unpredictable so allowing us to still clean on a wet day then keeps our schedule running smoothly.

Can you clean my windows on a windy day or in thunderstorms?

On a windy day this can make using using the water fed pole at height problematic so we will assess how bad it is in the morning or throughout the day whether it is safe to do so or maybe just do bungalows on that day.
We will NOT work in thunderstorms though due to us using poles made from carbon fibre which conducts electricity!
The safety of myself & my workers is of paramount importance to us so you will likely find us safely at home.
